Octopus celebrates British high-growth small businesses (HGSBs) yearly, through an annual report and a series of events.

HGSBs are pioneers, innovators and experts in their fields. They continue to punch well above their weight through their economic contribution, and the brief was about bringing new life to such an important part of the UK economy.

By reading the annual report created for the previous year, some of the wording used to describe HGSBs really resonated with me (“they drive growth at an exceptional rate”, “they encourage energy and confidence, innovation and opportunity”), and I knew straight away that the visual identity was all about “speed and volume”.
